A couple of weeks ago, Facebook launched an in depth guide for businesses. The information in this business section follows on nicely from my previous post on how to set up a Facebook business page and gives local businesses even more advice on how to manage their Facebook pages.
The marketing guide covers how to:
- Set up a business page
- How to create and run ads
- How to use sponsored stories
- Manage the page
The business centre also has a number of useful guides that can be downloaded as PDF’s. This particular guide: Building your business with Facebook pages was quite descriptive and contained some good advice.
With more and more businesses using social media to market their business, it was only a matter of time before Facebook started to provide some best practice documentation to give to the millions of businesses on Facebook.
The more information Facebook can give local businesses to help them actively market their business and communicate with their customers on the Facebook platform the better. These guides are a welcome addition to any business’ Facebook marketing strategy.
